![]() As my laptop is out for repairs at the moment I haven't tried those two other GPUs yet. I have changed to 64-bit version and this has been solved on my NVidia GTX 970 GPU that I just recently got (got the same error as my 840M had). > Bingo! I didn't realize that I was not on the 64-bit version. I have some ideas of my own for optimization, and I will create tickets for each of them. Yes, this is on stock MIDITrail-Ver.1.2.1b-Windows64.zip. Now with this working on my GTX 970, I can load MIDIs up to 8.1 million notes any larger and the notes simply won't show but there is no crash. I think you should make it more clear that the 32-bit version is 32-bit. ![]() > In this way, MIDITrail does not have a limit on the number of notes.īingo! I'd like to see those fixed, and perhaps it could be useful if your program had a crash handler system that could either produce crash log files, or let the user automatically send the crash reports to the dev end. I assume that is possibly related to video memory overload? Also, Piano From Above has much lower video memory/resource footprint than MIDITrail with the same amount of MIDI notes, so I suspect there is a significant amount of inefficiency within the code.Īlso I often tend to get lots of crashes without any error message, and rather goes directly to "This program stopped working", those which either happen randomly, or as soon as I click "x" to close the program. Is there an easy way to do that w/o swapping every channel for a Patcher target? For this one I copied and pasted all the patterns, made them unique, and pointed them to MIDI Out plugins, but there's got to be a better way.Hey, I've sort of been MIDITrail off and on lately, however the biggest turn off for me is all of the crashing and errors that I keep getting, especially when I load larger MIDI files.įor example, I can not load files larger than 2 million notes, or else I get an error message like this before a crash: I have several projects like that, and I'd like to essentially T the midi off to send to the visualizer. Which brings me to - the way I've used FL Studio so far, I typically have MIDI patterns running to channels with instruments on them. One of the funny things that I ran into while prototyping it - when it's playing, you kinda want the notes going opposite the usual Synthesia / Guitar Hero direction But I've got it where it can go either way at this point, you just have to pre-load it if you want it to sync when it hits the keyboard. Short clip of it with some Youlean Bloom and Vignette: ![]() Is this something anyone else would be interested in? Any specific features people would want if I get time to make this actually pretty to share? I've got a long personal list for what I want it to do for anything longer than 15 seconds, but interested in ideas. Was playing with building a piano roll visualizer - right now it's really rough, but works. Spent some time playing with ZGameEditor over the weekend and think I got over the initial learning curve. ![]()
